From Dreams to Designs: Writing Programs for 3D Printable Objects in OpenSCAD

Sign up or log in to save this event to your list and see who's attending!

DAVID THORNBURG WILL PRESENT THIS SESSION VIA SKYPE. This session explores a rich prgramming language students can use to create printable objects that would be hard to design any other way. The free programming tool we use, OpenSCAD, runs equally well under the MacOS and Windows. The goal is to transcend the mechanics of programming and to show pathways that dreams can become designs that can be made on any 3D printer available to students. Not recommended for programs with tablets.
