Director of Technology
Kim Harrison is the Director of Technology in the Washington USD in West Sacramento, CA. Over the past two years, she has been a catalyst for change and a voice for teachers in the realm of ed tech by pushing for wireless connectivity district-wide, leading a 1:1 mobile device pilot, and working with teacher leaders to implement GAFE. In her current role, she oversees all educational technology while also managing the district infrastructure, networks, and informational technology. Kim was honored in 2014 as a CUE Gold Disk recipient and has served as an officer on the CapCUE Board of Directors since 2007 in various capacities. She also became a Google Certified Teacher in December 2014 in Austin, TX. She is a candidate in the CETPA Chief Technology Officer Mentor program and is a newly elected CUE Board Member. Her prior work experience includes almost 12 years as a coordinator for educational technology with two CTAP regions and 8 years as a classroom teacher of various grade levels 3-12 across California.
