Minecraft Academy 201
You've already played Minecraft, and maybe even used it with students. Now you're looking for ways to create curricular activities and get the most out of MinecraftEDU as a learning platform. We'll play and create together! We will also look at taking the learning further with command blocks, special EDU-version-only tools, and more. Participants need to bring their own Windows or Mac laptop. (NOT a Chromebook or iPad) Participation will include a “vanilla” Minecraft license.

Google Forms: May the Forms Be With You
Take your Google Forms to the next level. Create Google Forms to use for quizzes, surveys, rubrics, and assignment dropboxes. Create quizzes in Google Forms, then use Flubaroo to autograde and provide student feedback. Take control of student Docs sharing nightmares and tracking assignments with Forms dropboxes. Create self-grading rubrics, use data validation and branch logic, and much, much more. Participants need to bring their own laptop not a tablet.

Common 'Chrome' Academy 201
Building on the foundations in CCA 101, this workshop guides teachers to discover how to help students establish a wide range of subject matter by engaging with works of quality and substance through cloud based instruction. Teachers will utilize content. Applications, extensions, on the Chromebook and Chrome browser to help students read purposefully and gain discipline specific knowledge to prepare them for higher order thinking skills.
This 3-hour course will connect you to foundations of National Standards, DOK's and Content Knowledge while giving you examples on using Chromebooks and the Chrome Browser to support these concepts.
Learning Objectives:
o Consider safety and citizenship online a priority
o Build foundations to Lesson Design
o Deliver lessons in a digital format
Audience:
